Go Big or Go Home – Larger Coffee Servings

In the United States, everything is big. Parking spaces are vast; cities sprawl; food portions are enormous; “grande” drinks are considered to be medium-sized. Growing with the trend, coffee drinks too have become increasingly larger as the café culture has been integrated into everyday life.

Years ago, a cup of coffee was served in a 6oz ceramic mug. Today, the smallest coffee served in a paper cup is 12 ounces, with sizes increasing to as large as 20 drinks! One of the most common complaints facing single serve systems is that the capsules are small and as a result the drinks tend to be 8-10 oz. Given today’s preference for more-is-more, this means it often takes two capsules to fill a travel mug with your favorite beverage.

Wouldn’t it be better to have a capsule that could yield a bigger drink in just one serving?
